'Opportunity Manchester'
branding, website strategy, structure and design
Client:
Manchester Enterprises Group
Brief:
Create a website which allows the Greater
Manchetser public to share opportunities for community involvement
by local, regional and national businesses. The site is also intended
to raise awareness of wider Corporate Social Responsibility issues
and aid regeneration in the Greater Manchester area.
Solution:
The logotype uses a modern, friendly and optimistic
typeface, with a technological edge. It emphasises the positive
effects the site will have on the local area, whilst visually hinting
at the technology which will allow that to happen.
The graphic 'cube' element
illustrates a 'square peg, square hole' analogy for the site's matchmaking
function.
For the website, the
3D cube from the logo was developed for the global navigation and
also lends angular chracteristics to the page design.
Planning and design
of the site required close working with the site developers and
an understanding of the content management system employed.
I developed many of
the site's key functions and features such as the powerful matching
system, including the creation of the criteria by which users post
and search opportunities.
Branding and website devised
by paulhc while employed at Flag.
